As we march towards the release of Version II of our Pre-Season Draft Guide later this week, I look to the teams out west to finish my sweep…
AFC WEST
Denver Broncos: The Broncos snuck into the playoffs last year, but failed to make the big game. Second-year QB Bo Nix improved as his rookie season progressed and should be a top 10 fantasy QB in 2025, especially since the team has increased his weapons in the passing game. In the running game, RB Javonte Williams and RB Samaje Perine are gone, as the team drafted RB R.J. Harvey in April and added RB J.K. Dobbins later in free agency. They should share the spotlight, limiting the upside of both for fantasy. RB Jaleel McLaughlin and RB Audric Estime return for depth. In the passing game, WR Courtland Sutton returns as the WR1, having produced his best season to date in the NFL. Sutton is a clear solid WR2 for fantasy with WR1 upside. WR Marvin Mims returns to battle rookie WR Pat Bryant for the WR2 job. Second-year WR Devaughn Vele also returns and will be in the mix. Others include WR Troy Franklin and WR A.T. Perry. Bottom Line: Only Sutton from this group will likely produce consistent numbers for fantasy in 2025. At tight end, TE Adam Trautman returns, but will back up newly acquired TE Evan Engram, who is likely to be the #2 target in this passing game. Engram is a low-end TE1 for fantasy. Veteran PK Will Lutz returns as the kicker, and is a lower-end PK1 for fantasy in an emerging offense.
