NBC Sports reports San Francisco 49ers GM John Lynch says RB Christian McCaffrey is “doing great” this offseason. “Christian’s doing really well,” Lynch said. “I think he was really frustrated with the way last season went. He’s doing everything possible as he did in preparation for last year. We’re hoping ‘CMC’ is out there and going to have a tremendous year. If he’s healthy, he will have a tremendous year. That’s just what he does.” After missing the season’s first two months with bilateral Achilles tendinitis, McCaffrey suffered a PCL injury that ended his season in the Dec. 1 loss to Buffalo. As for 2025, Lynch said he thinks McCaffrey will be able to participate in “at least parts” of the offseason program. “We will be judicious and follow the medical folks’ advice on that,” Lynch said. “Christian has done a great job doing the rehab. He’s tireless — if anything, you always have to say ‘Woah’ to Christian. As my friend, Steelers HC Mike Tomlin says, ‘It’s a lot better to have to say ‘Woah’ than it is to say ‘Sic ‘em.’ Christian is a ‘Woah’ guy because he’s going to do everything possible to give himself a chance.”

NBC Sports reports Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce has not yet announced whether he will play in 2025. But his brother, former Eagles C Jason Kelce, thinks the decision has been made. Jason Kelce said on The Steam Room that his younger brother most likely knows deep down whether he’s going to play or retire. “I think Travis — I think he probably, in his heart, already knows what he wants to do,” Jason said. “I’m sure we will talk about it. We’ve already talked about it a little bit, and I’m sure he’s going to go through a process of figuring that out,” Jason said “We’re very similar people, but we also have different ways of thinking about things. Sometimes I can way overanalyze situations, and any big decision I’m having in my life I’ll think about the negatives and what about this or that, and I want to do too much, and my brother has this way of being like, ‘Hey man, you want to play or you don’t want to play.’”

NBC Sports reports San Francisco 49ers LB De'Vondre Campbell refused to play and walked off the sideline in the middle of a game in Week #15, resulting in the 49ers suspending him for the rest of the season. Campbell did not explain himself until Friday, when he unleashed a rant on social media. Campbell’s rant still didn’t explain why he left the team, but he did suggest that he’s content being done with the NFL after playing nine seasons and making about $40 million. “I ain’t addressing shit. I’m rich and never have to work another day of my life and I told HC Kyle Shannahan and GM John Lynch that when they FaceTime me and begged me to come out there an hour after Green Bay cut me,” Campbell wrote.
