Looks like the national media speculation that GM Nick Caserio would pass on a QB in the first round turned out to be an effective smoke screen. The McNair family would not let that happen. The family is big time rich; they can tell the HC and GM to select whomever they want them to take!

Edge Will Anderson Jr. will help the D. They desperately needed him. So will C Juice Scruggs and Notre Dame’s C Jarrett Patterson. The OL absolutely killed the O last year. If the Texans O have any hope in 2023 it will be because they improved the OL.

It is fun to watch how the undrafted FAs progress in training camp. The Texans paid $ 175,000 to RB Xazavian Valladay of Arizona State. If you are looking for a deep sleeper to track as we get into FF keep him on your radar. With 4.46 in the forty, this guy can make this team.

The Texans found some pieces in the draft, with FAs and a trade. With a projected 80 MM of cap cash available in 2024 they should be able to get more pieces next year.

The team needs a number one WR. Will one emerge this year out of the current group of WR Nico Collins, WR John Metchie III, WR Robert Woods, WR Xavier Hutchinson, WR Noah Brown and WR Tank Dell?
