Houston Texans February Scouting Report
David Trojanowsky
2/28/2024

Looks like 2023 was a turning point for drafting and coaching up players’ talent. 2024 could be the year that past salary cap mortal sins are absolved. We will see if the Texans with the most cap cash can sign better talent via free agency. Starters like OLG Juice Scruggs, ORT Charlie Heck, WR Robert Woods and WR Noah Brown are not good enough for the O to get to the Conference Championship game. Without FA upgrades, good Ds will again wreak havoc against the Texans’ pass protection and running game.

All the fans can do is hope. I don’t expect the team to bring in talent like QB C.J. Stroud and DE Will Anderson Jr. this year. I don’t believe the rumors about RB Saquon Barkley and / or DT Chase Young becoming Texans. I do not believe Barkey fits the Texans run scheme. I do believe FA interior offensive linemen will be signed. I do expect the Texans to make the most of their FA opportunity. I do not believe they plan to use the franchise tag but re-signing DE Jonathan Greenard is a priority.

This time next month we will have a much better idea of the Texans direction.

End.

Testimonials

"Mike, I'm back in with you buddy. Don't know how many years I've been with you, but I could not bear the thought of playing fantasy this year, without your services -- no matter what my job situation is."
-- C. Savoni

"I've been subscribing for about 6 or 7 years, and this is the best draft guide you guys have put out yet!"
-- Mark Lewandowski

"Well worth the $60 to 'buy" myself another fantasy championship. If only my competitors knew my secret!"
-- Billy Millen

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."
-- Sal B.
