Houston Texans June Scouting Report

Where are the interior O-line upgrades? After viewing Spring minicamp, apparently, the team does not feel the need to bring in interior OL beef. We have witnessed suspect LG play the last few years. It has hurt the O. The overall O-line has graded out unsatisfactory. Perhaps LG Kenyon Green can master this spot this year. He is healthy, in shape and due. If he cannot do it, T/G LaDarius Henderson may be in line. OT Blake Fisher, selected in this years’ second round is being counted on as the swing T.
Same is true concerning veteran FA DTs. Is the team waiting to see who becomes available during training camps? To stop GOOD opposing running teams they will need more beef up front. Otherwise, good RBs will run all over them. They have 18.5 MM of cap cash available to make moves.
The sports community in Houston have unrealistic expectations. All I hear is great hope for the passing game. The O has many question marks concerning the running game. The Texans can’t compete for the Division without a decent running game.
One bright spot so far seems to be for Rookie CB Kamari Lassiter. Everyone thinks he can start this year.
Camp starts July 18. Summer vacation as far as news goes until then.
End.
