Houston Texans February Scouting Report
David Trojanowsky
2/20/2025

As forecast here last February 2024 was a year when good Ds wreaked havoc against that flock of scared lambs known as the Texans OL. Management refuses to prioritize the OL. In OT Blake Fisher' first year, he was not ready to play but had to. OLT Laremy Tunsil is talented with a great personality but continues to demonstrate Joe Biden type leadership skills. OLG Kenyon Green played like a first round bust that the general manager will not give up on. The RG has lost his fastball, and the centers are not good enough. Will the team bring in FA interior linemen?

QB C.J. Stroud took a step back year, which torpedoed many a fantasy team. His offensive coordinator was fired at season end amid rumors that he and Stroud had developed bad chemistry. WR Tank Dell and WR Stefon Diggs were both lost to injuries during the season, both have uncertain status for 2025. In my opinion, Diggs has an 85% of returning to the Texans. It is time for WR Xavier Hutchinson and WR John Metchie to catch passes; to play like they belong.

Rookies S Calen Bullock and CB Kamari Lassiter played like stars. If the D can find a Daddy-Oh T they will be in business.

The Texans are not considering using franchise or transition tags this year. It is clear from above that IOL, WRs and a defensive tackle is what they should be looking for in free agency.

This time next month we will have a much better idea of the Texans direction.

End.

Testimonials

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."
