Arizona Cardinals March Scouting Report
David Vohs
3/28/2025

March 2025 is coming to and end and April is almost here… we ALL know what that means… the NFL draft!

The AZ Cardinals have the following picks:

  • First round: No. 16 overall
  • Second round: No. 47 overall
  • Third round: No. 78 overall
  • Fourth round: No. 114 overall
  • Fifth round: No. 153 overall
  • Seventh round: No. 227 overall

Team needs: DT, EDGE, OT, OG, CB, LB, RB, TE (backup), WR

Free Agents brought in:

Major Signings:

LB Josh Sweat – (2025 - $7.3M 2026 $16.4M and 2027/2028 both $23.6M with a void year in 2029)

DT Dalvin Tomlinson (2025 - $7.6M 2026 $16.2M in 2026 and 3 voidable years in 2027,28, 29)

Other Signings:

S Joey Blount, LS Aaron Brewer, QB Jacoby Brissett, OL Evan Brown, OLB Baron Browing, OL Kelvin Beachum, DL L.J. Collier, ILBAkeem Davis-Gaither, WR Simi Fehoko, CB Jaylon Jones, OL Royce Newman, TE Travis Vokolek, ILB Mykal Walker

Losses:

WR Zach Pascal (NYG), OLB Victor Dimukeje (NYG), DL Naquan Jones (Chargers), DL Roy Lopez (Detroit), DL Khyiris Tonga (NE Pats).

The Cardinals once again bring in high hopes to compete for an NFC West Division Championship. With Seattle in flux, LA reloading, and SF also reloading, perhaps this is the Cardinals’ year!

Significant Unrestricted FA’s in 2025:

OLB Dennis Gardeck, K Matt Prater

So, my guess is the Arizona Cardinals will keep their overall #16 pick but honestly, I see them trading all over the place to garner more picks and move up and down to get their person. I never understood why they didn’t grab S or CB Cooper DeJean last year but they had a plan. Somehow, I have not been added to that discussion (to my overall dismay!).

I look forward to a LOT of activity by the Cardinals during the 2025 draft.

Thanks and Go Cardinals!

End.
