New York Giants June Scouting Report
Tony DeArmas
6/24/2025

The quarterback room received a significant overhaul this season. Leading the group is QB Russell Wilson who has assimilated well with his new team during OTA’s and minicamp. The same can be said about veteran QB Jameis Winston. Rookie QB Jaxson Dart looked very good during the team activities and will have ample time to learn and grow sitting behind the veterans. Receivers commented about what a "catchable" ball Russ throws and can’t wait to see a few of his patented moonballs in action this season.

RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. will be the lead back, but will share the workload with rookie RB Cam Skattebo and veteran RB Devin Singletary. I think Skattebo will get a long look in passing and goal line situations. He runs angry, which is fun to watch.

WR Malik Nabers did not participate in any team activities as he works through a nagging toe injury. He’s had this since college but the GMen feel he will be ready to go for training camp and not have any limitations. WR Wan’dale Robinson and WR Darius Slayton had productive team sessions and will be counted on this season. The X factor will be disappointing young WR Jalin Hyatt who developed some chemistry with Russ as well as adding some muscle this offseason. He can take the top of a defense which will open things up for the other receivers.

This is a very young and exciting tight end group. TE Theo Johnson should be ready to take the next step as a playmaker. Rookie TE Thomas Fidane has intriguing upside and could be super effective in double TE packages.

EDGE/LB Abdul Carter spent a lot of time in the offensive backfield during team activities. This guy will be a nightmare to block. Add DE Brian Burns, DT Dexter Lawrence, and LB Kayvon Thibodeaux. This will be a fun group to watch. The linebacking corps should be better this year as LB Bobby Okereke should bounce back. The secondary should be stout as well. DC Shane Bowen will be dialing up a variety of schemes and defenses this season.

That’s it for now.

More to come in July with training camp news….

End.
