Arizona Cardinals March Scouting Report
David Vohs
3/17/2026

Well, since I last reported we’ve had quite a few changes.

First and probably MOST importantly, QB Kyler Murray was released. Is this a bad thing or a good thing, we really won’t know until the fall. I wish it had worked out differently for QB Kyler Murray and the Cardinals, but nothing really fell into place under his tenure and whether he was to blame or not, time will tell.

At QB, replacing QB Kyler Murray will be a camp battle between QB Jacoby Brissett and QB Gardner Minshew with a major lean towards QB Jacoby Brissett. The offensive movement was there last year, let’s see if he can get some wins.

The Cardinals have added some precious cargo at the offensive weapon positions for 2026.

WR Kendrick Bourne (unrestricted FA from SF) joins the Cardinals and automatically adds depth and a number 3 WR to the team. WR Marvin Harrison Jr and WR Michael Wilson are #1 and #2 WR so WR Kendrick Bourne (30 years old) should be able to step in and provide a spark as a WR3 and injury coverage if Harrison or Wilson miss time for any reason.

WR Devin Duvernay also joins the Cardinals for depth and stretching the field. WR Devin Duvernay is 28 years old and will see significant playing time and could help on special teams.

OT Elijah Wilkinson comes over from Atlanta to pair with OLT Paris Johnson until the Cardinals can find a permanent replacement at RT. Look for the Cardinals to add a lineman or two in the draft. Will it be at #3? Exciting to think about unless an Edge Rusher falls in their lap.

OG Matt Pryor comes in from Atlanta to add Depth to the OL

One of the biggest signing surprises was RB Tyler Allgeier for Atlanta. With RB John Connerresigning, I’m not sure what is intended for RB Tyler Allgeier’s role. I hope "Alligator" as I call him is the starter and Conner, RB Trey Benson can fill in nicely when RB Alligator needs rest! That’s my hope anyway. Otherwise this becomes a 3 headed mess for Fantasy!

To be honest, I see the Cardinals taking this year to really judge the new talent and see where this team is headed in the future. I certainly wouldn’t say no to QB Arch Manning in the 2027 draft coming this way or one of the other many talented kids coming out in the 2027 draft!
