Dallas Cowboys April Scouting Report
Dr. Gil Brovar
4/26/2026

The draft is over and for the most part, the Cowboys appear to have filled some holes. We addressed our secondary with star S Caleb Downs, who will likely be a starter, and CB Devin Moore, who may see playing time. They addressed the pass rush with EDGE Malachi Lawrence and EDGE Jaishawn Barham. Both should be in the rotation, with Lawrence possibly being an early difference maker. They traded a 5th round pick for LB Dee Winters, who will likely be a starter. He played well for San Francisco last season. Additional picks included OT Drew Shelton, who is a depth player, DL LT Overton, who should make the rotation, and WR Anthony Smith, who may not make the team. They are still looking at UDF players to fill other holes.

It does appear that they have improved their defense significantly and DC Christian Parker should make a difference with better schemes.

Most importantly, they signed PK Brandon Aubrey and WR George Pickens signed his franchise tag. This should lessen the drama that they are always having to deal with.

In general the team appears to be improved and barring injury, should make the playoffs this season.

End.

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."
-- Sal B.
