The Cowboys have been very busy the past few days as have all 32 teams. They seem to be taking roster construction much more seriously this off-season than they have in the past. I will start with the notable roster cuts:

They traded OT Nate Thomas to Houston and acquire OT Broderick Jones from the Steelers. This move was considered an upgrade. They also added RB Emari Demercado to replace Jaydon Blue.

The implications of these moves are that QB Sam Howell will be the backup to starting QB Dak Prescott while RB Malik Davis will be the backup to starting RB Javonte Williams.

They kept 6 WRs this year, the 6^th being UDFA WR Camden Brown. He made several great plays in the pre-season games and therefore, successfully made his case to stay on the roster.

They may call back some of the released players to be on the practice squad if they are not claimed, such as RB Jaydon Blue, TE Michael Trigg and EDGE Sam Williams. They still may trade for or claim players before the season starts. Overall, they have a superior roster to last season's. We will just have to wait and see how things go.
