2026 PSDG: Strength of Schedule: The QBs (Preview)

First, a word or two about how to think about the strength of schedule. It's not wise to lean tooheavily on the strength of schedule, as so many variables come into play from year to year. Defensive strength against a position varies from year to year for each team, so while we can start by looking at certain metrics, such as passing yards and touchdowns allowed, each offseason brings changes in personnel, coaching, and scheme. Weak defenses are sometimes bolstered by the return of key players from injury, or weakened by new injuries to previously stout defenses. Defensive efficiency for a team can evolve over the season as injuries pile up, as a team starts to get healthy, or as it coalesces around a new coach or scheme.
